On-Site Vaccine Clinic Through Pittsburg County Health Department
The Pittsburg County Health Department is offering an on-site COVID Vaccine Clinic for WPS. The vaccine will be Pfizer and it will be available for students 16 and older, staff, student families, staff families, and community members. Students must have signed consent. If you would like to receive a Pfizer COVID Vaccine at WPS please contact the school nurse at (918) 465-7090.

Lawrence, Green recognized by Wilburton Kiwanis Club
Two seniors were recognized as Students of the Month for April by members of the Wilburton Kiwanis Club. The students were special guests during the club’s Wednesday, April 22 meeting held in the Student Life Center on the campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College. Allison Lawrence is the daughter of Julie and Jason Lawrence. She attends Wilburton High School where she is a member of the Wilburton FFA chapter and National Honors Society. She is a member of the FFA meats judging team and has been named to the Principal’s and Superintendent’s honor rolls. Lawrence enjoys kayaking, reading, and raising sheep. Upon graduation she plans to attend Eastern Oklahoma State College and pursue a degree in agriculture meat science. Kobe Green is the son of Amanda Riggins and Jeremie Green. He attends Wilburton High School where he is a member of the Digger football, basketball, and track teams. His honors included being named “Student of the Month” and the Farm Bureau’s “Player of the Week” in football. Greens’ interests include playing basketball and football, hunting, fishing, and skating. He plans to attend Hastings College to play football and major in business management.
