WPS Partners with EOSC Nursing on Student Health and Awareness

March 9, 2021

Wilburton Public Schools (WPS) has partnered with the EOSC Nursing program to bring awareness to the importance of student health and its relationship to academic success.  WPS has assisted the nursing students with their pediatric clinical rotations through observation days with the school nurse. EOSC nursing students have provided much-needed health teaching projects at the elementary and high school campuses. EOSC student nurses taught hygiene, hand washing, and dental health lessons to the elementary students and “Nursing as a Profession” to Mrs. Lowder’s High School Careers Class. Several WHS Alumni were apart of the student nurse group including Kodi Clevenger, Cheyenne Ezekiel, Tracy Martin, and Hayley Meyers. Both WPS and EOSC are excited about this partnership and future endeavors together.
