The Chickasaw Nation Nutrition Services, partnering with the Choctaw Nation is now accepting applications for the Summer EBT for Children program. To qualify for this program, your child must be enrolled in a participating school district in grades Pre-K through 12th grade and receive free and or reduced meals at school. Qualifying families will receive approximately $30 of free food per child, per month for the three summer months. Benefits are received on an EBT card that works like a debit card, which allows you to purchase healthy food for the summer. This federally funded program is open to anyone. Applications are due June 1st. For a list of participating schools and the online application, visit the services section at Chickasaw.net, and search for Summer EBT for Children. To apply over the phone, call the Chickasaw Nation Summer EBT team at 844-256-3467, Monday through Friday, from 8am-5pm.
