Last week, twelve students from Wilburton High School participated in the scholastic High School Tournament of Champions held in Oklahoma City. The tournament measures all qualifiers against each other, regardless of school size. To qualify for this tournament, students must have placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in a regional qualifying event measuring their knowledge of school curriculum.
Those placing in the top three for Wilburton were Amber Deela, who placed 3rd in the state for Business Math, GilesGoddard, who placed third in the state for Geometry, and Sam Cox, who was the State Champion in the Algebra II event.
Congratulations to these students!
