Thank you to our Wilburton Public School Students, Parents, Families, and Community for a wonderful first semester of school for the 2018-19 year. Fall sports, musical celebrations, theatre productions, academic successes mark the first four months of this school year.

An important focus for our district is the community recognition of our local and state law enforcement  and emergency officers and agencies. Our School is so very fortunate and proud to have those in our community who dedicate their time and professional experience to keeping our young people safe and secure. We honored these fine men and women for their service at a home football game as they served as honorary captains along side our senior players.

Our district’s drive toward excellence is evidenced by the many student successes realized during the first semester. This is the result of the collective efforts of our Board members, teachers, students, administrators, parents, and community. Students and school sites have received recognition for their creative programs, their sports programs, and their academic performance. Excellence is not possible without vision, support, and commitment from all involved.

I encourage you to take the time to attend second semester upcoming events, concerts, and programs of our students. Not only will you be delighted with the superior caliber of performance, but you will also show our young people that their many hours of practice and work are valued by others. A listing of these events can be found on our school’s homepage at, which also includes highlights of student achievements and endeavors.

Happy New Year and Many Blessings to each of you.
Dr. Butler
