Sam Goddard is a 2017 graduate of WHS. He is currently attending Oklahoma State University on academic scholarships after attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University on both cross country and academic scholarships. He is majoring in Construction Engineering Technology and has completed two summer internships, the first being a field engineer on a water treatment facility project and the second as an estimator for several elementary school projects.
During Sam’s freshman year as a Northwestern Ranger, he competed at the Great American Conference and Regional cross country meets. Following his first year, he transferred to OSU to complete his degree. He is currently the President of the OSU Triathlon Club which competes among other universities at the national level.
Outside of classes and triathlons, Sam works for Oklahoma State University as a Supplemental Instruction Leader which provides a secondary learning experience for students in engineering classes. After finishing his final year at OSU, Sam will pursue a career in estimating for a general contractor. The summer internships have been a great hands-on learning experience for Sam and has helped him to feel confident of his chosen field of study.
