Jacalyn Hulsey – Class of 2016


Jacalyn Hulsey is a 2016 graduate of Wilburton High School. Throughout high school, she was involved in cheerleading, basketball, vocal, speech and drama. She was selected all four years of high school to be a member of the All-State Vocal Chorus. 

Jacalyn has always had the desire to help people. After receiving physical therapy following a cheerleading injury in high school, her career goal was set. Jacalyn’s dream was now to become a physical therapist.

She attended Eastern Oklahoma State College where she obtained her Associate Degree in Science. While attending Eastern, Jacalyn stayed involved with Phi Theta Kappa, the Math and Science Club, and the Mountaineer cheerleading squad. In 2017, she graduated from Eastern in the top 10% of her class. She then transferred to East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. At ECU she was involved in two honor societies, Beta Beta Beta and Alpha Chi. In 2020, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a minor in Kinesiology.

Jacalyn was honored by being accepted into three Doctorate of Physical Therapy programs.  She chose to attend the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is currently enrolled in her first year and will be in the graduating class of 2023. After receiving her Doctoral Degree, Jacalyn plans on working for an Indian Health facility for at least three years. Her goal is to one day return to this area to start her own clinic.
