Parents: Dress Code Change

At the July school board meeting, the Wilburton School Board voted to approve the following addition to the dress code which will be in the 2014-2015 handbook.

Item 1:  Students shall keep their hair clean, neat, moderately styled, and of a natural color.  Hair must remain out of the student's eyes at all times.  Hair paint, dyes, or gels of an unnatural color (ex. any color other than red, black, brown, or blonde) and styles that our outlandish (mohawks or other designs) are not permitted.  Temporary hair coloring is not allowed.

Item 2:  Except for earrings in the ears of students, all body piercing jewelry is prohibited.  Gauges are not permitted.  No more than three piercings per ear may be visible.  Covering these items with a band-aid or similar item is not permitted.

Item 3:  Shorts and skirts must be no shorter than three inches from the top of the knee.
