“While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil.” John Taylor
In the last few weeks, Wilburton Public Schools and the entire Wilburton community lost two beloved, dear friends: Mrs. Paula Aaron and Mr. Ronnie Massey.
Paula worked for our school for 25 years serving delicious meals to our high school and middle school students and staff. Paula’s gracious heart and beautiful smile were welcoming features when entering the door of our cafeteria. She was a tireless worker, and one who never complained. She loved our students and our employees and always wanted to make certain that no one left hungry. She will be greatly missed. Thank you to the Aaron Family for sharing her with us for so many wonderful years.
Ronnie, while not an employee of Wilburton Public Schools, was a true and loyal friend to us and over the many years of service to this community, performed countless acts of kindness and help to our school system. Often, he would remind me to make certain that I had him on speed-dial. Truly, he had a heart “as big as gold.” He cared for our school and this community in so many quiet, unselfish ways that they all could never be counted. What a treasure Ronnie Massey was!! He will be greatly missed. Thank you to the Massey Family for sharing him with us for so many wonderful years.
